Built in 1976, Discovery School is situated in Whitby, Porirua. We are a co-educational school, catering for tamariki in Years 0-8.  At capacity, the school can cater for around 500 students. The school sits on beautiful grounds, with netball and basketball courts, a large field, bike track and swimming pool.

This encompasses everyone in our school community and focuses on those here and now seizing the day, taking opportunities to thrive and grow for the betterment of everyone in our community and those who come after us. 
 
Our school stands on the land of our mana whenua, Ngāti Toa Rangatira. We acknowledge this and the bicultural foundation on which our country is founded through a rich, local curriculum that prepares tamariki with the skills and knowledge to equip them for an ever changing future.
